About Yoyo and the workshop


Yorgenis “Yoyo” Danger García – a brilliant dancer and teacher who has inspired dancers all over Europe. Former dancer of ISA danza (Cuba), Folklórico de Cienfuegos (Cuba) and Yoldance (Cuba). Now it is our privilege to welcome him to Stockholm! His enthusiasm, contagious energy and methodical teaching will take your dance to a new level!

Diasmanin Silva Semanat – co-teacher for the rumba class and part of the Rieback Cuban team. A maestra of all Afro-Cuban dances. Learn genuine female movements and style!


Rumba classes – let´s bring rumba to the people!

We want to inspire more people to discover, feel and dance rumba – the Cuban soul. Rumba is proposed to UNESCO´s World Cultural Heritage!
Level: everyone Teachers: Yoyo and Diasmanin

Afro-Cuban classes 

In the Afro classes we will focus on Orishas and Afro-Haitian dance. Dancing orishas is about going into a particular character – here we focus on expression and technique. Gagá (Afro-Haitian) is a traditional, festive and energetic dance. 
Level: intermediate + advanced Teacher: Yoyo

Saturday 3 Dec
12.00-13.50 Rumba (Yambú + Guaguancó) 

14.00-16.00 Afro-Cuban Orishas (Eleguá + Ochosi)


Sunday 4 Dec
11.00-12.50 Afro-Cuban Orishas (Obbatalá + Oyá)
13.00-14.00 Afro-Haitian (Gagá)
